Overview

Pick-A-Part Jalopy Jungle at 6301 Cleveland Blvd, Caldwell, ID

Pick-A-Part Jalopy Jungle is a self-service auto salvage yard in Caldwell, Idaho. Customers can browse and remove their own used auto parts from the yard at 6301 Cleveland Blvd. This location is one of several Pick-A-Part yards in Idaho, with others in Boise, Nampa, and Twin Falls. The Caldwell yard is open to the public for part hunting, with tools and equipment on hand for customers to take apart vehicles themselves. It’s a simple, no-frills way to save money on repairs by getting parts straight from salvaged cars.

Services & What to Expect

Pick-A-Part Jalopy Jungle is a self-service salvage yard, meaning you handle the part removal yourself. The yard provides basic tools like wrenches, pry bars, and cutting equipment for taking vehicles apart. Staff can help you find the right car for the parts you need and operate the hydraulic lift if you’re working on heavier components. The yard carries a mix of domestic and foreign vehicles, though inventory changes often.

How Self-Service Works

  • Walk in during business hours and look through the salvaged vehicles.
  • Ask staff which cars might have the parts you need.
  • Use the provided tools—including air tools and hydraulic lifts—for disassembly.
  • Pay by the pound for the part weight after you remove it.
  • No appointment needed—just show up when the yard is open.

What to Bring

  • A vehicle to haul parts (some are heavy or bulky).
  • Your own hand tools if you prefer them (though the yard has most basics).
  • Cash or a debit/credit card for payment (confirm accepted methods with staff).
  • A list of the parts you need, including the make, model, and year of your car.

Parts Available

The yard stocks a wide range of used auto parts, such as:

  • Engines and transmissions
  • Body panels (doors, hoods, fenders)
  • Interior parts (seats, dashboards, trim)
  • Suspension and drivetrain components (control arms, axles, differentials)
  • Electrical parts (wiring harnesses, sensors, lights)
  • Braking system pieces (calipers, rotors, master cylinders)

The selection changes as new vehicles come in and parts are taken out. The yard doesn’t guarantee specific parts will be in stock, so calling ahead or checking online (if available) is a good idea.

If you have an old car you want to get rid of, Pick-A-Part Jalopy Jungle may buy it for parts. However, they don’t list this service on their public page. For cash offers on junk cars, check our cash for junk cars page for local buyers in Caldwell.

Honestly, if you’re hunting for car parts, this place is a lifesaver. You can yank what you need out of a wreck faster than you can say "where’s the wrench?" The real win? If you’re clueless about tearing into your own car without turning it into a puzzle, just do it here. Break their stuff instead of yours—why risk wrecking your nice parts over some stupid hidden screw? Makes way more sense. ---

The staff here have always treated me right. It’s a nice touch that they’ve got a searchable list of vehicles online now—saves a lot of time digging around.

We showed up 20 minutes after closing, short on cash, and the guy still let us grab what we needed. No hassle, no attitude—just good service. ---

We’ve been to Pick-A-Part in Caldwell a few times now, and it’s always a solid experience. Last Saturday, my husband and I picked up two parts for our 2003 Excursion Eddie Bauer—an armrest that looked almost new (no cracks!) and an ABS component. Today, the same Eddie Bauer we pulled from last time was gone, but they had other cars to choose from, and we ended up finding a brake adjuster too. The cashiers were friendly and made the whole thing smooth. The yard itself is clean, well-organized, and the prices are fair. One thing to keep in mind: kids under 16 can’t go into the yard, but other than that, it’s been nothing but good. We’ll be back for sure—thanks for making it easy! ---

Don was a huge help—walked me through everything I didn’t get, and then some. The guy’s patient, explained which parts might fix my issue, and didn’t make me feel dumb asking questions. The junkyard itself is easy to move around in, and the whole process is straightforward. I’ll definitely be coming back. ---
