Services & What to Expect

Pick-A-Part Jalopy Jungle is a self-service salvage yard, meaning customers handle the search, removal, and payment themselves. The yard provides tools like wrenches, pry bars, and cutting equipment, but customers should bring their own safety gear. Parts are sold by weight, with prices based on condition. The yard doesn’t offer part installation or towing services.

What You Can Find

  • Engines and transmissions (domestic and foreign)
  • Body panels (doors, fenders, hoods, bumpers)
  • Interior parts (seats, dashboards, trim)
  • Suspension and drivetrain components
  • Electrical parts (wiring harnesses, sensors, lights)
  • Miscellaneous hardware (bolts, brackets, fasteners)

How Self-Service Works

Customers enter the yard, find the part they need, and remove it using the tools on site. A scale at the exit weighs the part, and payment is made at the front counter. The yard takes cash, debit, and credit cards. No appointment is needed—just show up during business hours and work at your own pace.

How does self-service auto salvage work at Pick-A-Part Jalopy Jungle?

Customers enter the yard, find the part they need, and remove it using the tools provided. A scale at the exit weighs the part, and payment is made at the front counter. No appointment is needed—just visit during business hours and work at your own pace. The yard provides basic tools, but bringing your own is a good idea for tough removals.

Are there any restrictions on what I can remove?

Most parts can be removed, but some—like airbags, catalytic converters, or recalled parts—may be off-limits by law. Staff can clarify restrictions at checkout. Always check a part’s condition before removal, as damaged or non-working parts may not be worth the cost.

Fixing up my 2004 5.4L Expedition Eddie Bauer 4WD—75% salvaged parts—has been a journey, but Jalopy Jungle’s been a huge help. I’ve rebuilt 15 cars since high school, and this one’s no different. The parts here are solid, and the prices work for what I’m doing. Can’t ask for much more than that. ---

If you need used car parts at a good price, this is the place. Getting in is easy, browsing is a breeze, and paying is simple. I’ll definitely be back. ---

Been coming to Jalopy Jungle for years—mostly the Nampa spot—because I’m always hunting down parts for my beaters. It’s a fun little weekend ritual, honestly. The selection’s solid, even when I’m not looking for anything specific. Just walking around and poking at old cars is half the fun. Lately, though, the prices there have gotten weird. Either they’re raising everything or just making it up as they go. I’ve bought stuff before where the price on the board didn’t match what they wanted, or the part wasn’t even listed. And now they’re splitting hairs on every little thing—charging for every hose, bracket, or pulley separately instead of just giving a fair price for the whole unit. I get that parts have individual costs, but this feels like overkill. Some stuff is still a good deal—engines, wheels, body panels—but then they hit you with a core fee out of nowhere. It’s hit or miss. The staff’s always friendly, and I still enjoy the trip, but at this point, I’d rather drive to Caldwell or just order from RockAuto unless I *really* need something specific. A few extra bucks for peace of mind isn’t worth the hassle. ---

The staff here is super helpful, and the selection is huge. Parts are organized by brand, so you can actually find what you need without wasting time. The $1 entry fee gets you in, plus a list of where to look for parts that match your car. And honestly? The prices are dirt cheap. ---

Jalopy Jungle is a solid junkyard with a few locations, so if you pay the $1 fee at one, you can visit the others the same day without paying again. The staff is usually friendly, and when you walk in, they’ll ask what car you’re working on, then print out a list of where to find matching parts in the yard. They check your tool bag on the way in and out to stop theft, and if you bring in an old part to match, they’ll mark it so you don’t get charged for it on the way out. The $1 fee also covers fuses, bulbs, clips, screws, bolts, and light sockets—whatever you need. They’ve got wheelbarrows to borrow for free, clean restrooms, and you can buy any part you want as long as you bring your own tools. The prices are fair, and I’d recommend this place to anyone.
